Hello, today I don't come with one of my stories, but I come to tell you about my coffee-drinking ceremony. Or something similar.
I am not one of those who visit coffee shops to drink coffee. I really like coffee made at home. The times that I have had to drink coffee in a local coffee shop it has been because I needed that vital liquid to keep me alert and when I worked as an employee we would leave the office to drink a good cup with a co-worker.
I'm one of those who prefer to drink coffee alone, watch the sunrise, read the news of the day, or when I'm in front of the laptop writing a post for Hive or an episode for my novel.
I drink coffee alone a lot because of my Asperger's condition. I don't tend to be in groups and if I do it has to be with people I trust or family members.
Many do not understand that. They think it's rude of me. But how I do, is that I came into this world with a factory-burned cable. My parents went to return it to me and the factory said no returns were accepted.
Many times I have thought that I am a misfit, but the therapist comforts me with words that say that I should do what I like and that no one should impose anything on me. If I don't like being in a herd, then I shouldn't do it.
It is not easy, as I have said before, people do not understand and I cannot explain all the time about my condition that was diagnosed after I got older. My childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood were very difficult. But everything was overcome with a nice big cup of dark coffee; something that makes me feel incredibly happy, plus the support of good friends and family.
But analyzing the subject in depth, it does not matter with whom you drink coffee, the important thing is that you enjoy it and that that cup together with what surrounds you, leads you to be grateful to the universe, to the almighty, for what you have, for what you are; a winner.
