I welcome everyone to my entry for this weekend's engagement challenge. As usual, there are different topics to choose from for the weekend and I go with being a flight attendant for the weekend.

Anything that has to do with aviation in my country is quite expensive, I tried as much as joining the Nigeria air force just to fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a pilot but all effort then was futile.
The aviation schools in the country are really unaffordable for families of my class, there are only a few of them with good recommendations and you still need to train internationally before you can fly internationally so aside from schooling here, you still need to go abroad.
I couldn't bring the dream of flying a plane to reality but being a flight attendant can give me the feel of what staying in the cockpit of an airplane feels like.
Whenever I drew an airplane when I was younger, I do label the windshield as a magic screen that shows nothing but the beauty of the world. I have imagined what looking through an airplane windshield looks like, the view is always captivating.
Working as a flight attendant for the weekend would mean a lot to me and the memories of the weekend are something I will cherish forever because it will bring me closer to the option of working as a crew member on a plane. A lot of people including myself didn't know that there are male flight attendants and they aren't very common because airline companies prefer females. I got to know about male flight attendants when I wrote exams for aviation schools over ten years now, I wasn't interested because I didn't see the benefits in it.
I can get to move about in the plane and seeing the world through the airplane magic screen will be awesome.
The privilege to travel out of the country is there for me as a flight attendant, I do not need to pay anything or need any the usual passengers documents to travel with the plane I am assigned to and if there will be need for something to travel, the airline will provide it which is still free.
It is completely free and I still have the opportunity to explore whatever country I find myself in as long as we will be staying there for some time. The best part of visiting other countries as a flight attendant is that the airline will be responsible for expenses like lodging, feeding, and others. So for the weekend, I wouldn't just be working. There are lots of fun waiting for me at whichever destination my plane is going to.
I am someone who doesn't socialize a lot but I love meeting people, awesome people who I can learn from.
A commercial plane carries quite a lot of people and it is impossible for me not to interact with people on the airplane. I am certain I will automatically make friends as long as the company policy doesn't resist it. Aside from the interaction with passengers, I am definitely going to make friends in countries I find myself.
Since being a flight attendant is just for the weekend, I might try some very silly things. The things you are about to read below are just for fun, I hope these things don't discourage 
Returning to Nigeria is something I don't want to do in the next ten years if I get out just once so I might abscond when the plane lands.
I will snap some pictures in the plane cockpit with the pilot uniform and make a picture frame, so it is easier to tell my grandchildren that grandpa was a pilot.
Above all, it is going to be a beautiful experience for me. It would be one of the best weekends for me and its impact on me will magnificent.
