A Journey of A Thousand Miles: Extraordinary Experiences of my life
Greetings members of the weekend experiences family. Happy tenth day of October to you all.
I'm so glad to share my weekend experiences with you all. I must say that this week has been the most fruitful week I have ever experienced.
It has been a weekend filled with joy and excitement because I have been able to complete the journey I started three years ago. The lord has been so faithful to me throughout my academic journey.
This weekend was my project and seminar defense. It was something I was always having nightmares about because I didn't know what to do.
Fear gripped me, and I began to have negative thoughts about myself and how I would be able to scale through.
But at a point, I was encouraged by a particular song my pastor once sang during one of our Tuesday bible study.
The song says lord I believe, Lord I believe, all things are possible, Lord I believe. I don't know what happened to me when the song came that day that I decided to take it so personally.
It has become my song since that day. A few days before my defense, I heard a hymn in church, and it was titled " T'is so sweet to trust in Jesus.
This hymn captured everything I needed to know about God and how I should see him and trust him in everything I do.
The last verse of the song says, I'm so glad I learned to trust him, precious Jesus lord and friend,
And I know that though art with me,
Will be with me till the end.
These songs became my motivation this weekend, and an encouragement to who I've become today.
Defending a project and a seminar was a bit difficult for me. But before I left my house in the morning, I had a devotion with God, and I sang these songs.
When I stepped into my Head of Department's office for my defense with our external supervisor, everything changed.
I saw myself extraordinarily defending my project. When I came out I asked myself what just happened, but it was still strange to me.
It was such an everlasting experience and one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life.
I'm glad I made it to the end even when there were obstacles and setbacks on the way. The lord stood by my side.
I appreciate Jesus for his grace, knowing him has profited me a lot. The success I have today, can only come from him and no one else. He alone can do this.
I know you all also have beautiful weekend experiences such as mine, and I would also love to share in your testimonies. That is what keeps us going.
Things like this strengthen our faith in Jesus and give us hope for a better tomorrow. If you do not have anything to share this weekend, you will have it next weekend.
Thanks, everyone.
