Okay so far the location, hotel I am staying and the surrounding area is amazing! It's beautiful, peaceful and a great place that is 1 mile above sea level the air is just incredible. With so much greatness the food is something lacking.
Went out to look at all the shops and not many options ended up eating at the hotel with prices for a filet at $38.00 dollars i would have hoped for amazing flavor, tender, and ideally aged. Sadly none of that was the case. I sent the steak back and asked if they had a cheese plate and to my surprise they did. The cheese was not too bad at all but the honey that is sourced locally was incredible.
I didn't come to Lake Arrowhead for the food that is what I plan on doing when I go on my trip to France. In any case thought you all should know. I do have pretty high standards Michelin Star restaurants so not many can attain that type of service and food quality.
The meat was mediocre and was not something to even mention.
The bread was supposedly made to order. In this case made to order means add a lot of butter and put on grill that was not cleaned. Not exceptional.
They did have a Guinness (in a bottle) but hey that was really good! Oh and the view was great too!
