No recuerdo bien como, ni que se me cruzó por la cabeza, pero hace varios años empecé a cultivar en casa estas setas.
Se conocen también con el nombre de orellanas, gírgolas, setas ostra, Pleurotus.
Hay muchas variedades de colores y texturas dentro de las Pleurotus. Las clásicas se conocen como Pleurotus Ostreatus y las de las fotos son Pleurotus Columbinus o girgolas azules.
¡Ya sé que se ven grises! Eso se debe a la luz que han recibido en su desarrollo. Cuando recién asoman tienen tonos azules (muchas veces azul oscuro casi negro), turquesas o celestes y conforme van creciendo se van aclarando.

I can’t quite remember how it happened, or what made me think of it, but several years ago I started growing these mushrooms at home.
They are also known as oyster mushrooms, Pleurotus.
There are many varieties of Pleurotus, differing in colour and texture. The classic variety is known as Pleurotus Ostreatus, and the ones in the photos are Pleurotus Columbinus, or blue oyster mushrooms.
I know they look grey! That’s because of the light they’ve been exposed to whilst growing. When they first appear, they have shades of blue (often dark blue, almost black), turquoise or sky blue, and as they grow, they become lighter in colour.
