Hello, Hivers around the world. It’s Thursday today, and the week is almost over. I hope you’re all doing well. I want to tell you that we have two vacant units in my building. And we’ve had to make some repairs because the building is quite old.
As the years go by, materials deteriorate—and so do the pipes. In one of the units, we noticed a difference in floor level near a bathroom, so we hired a master builder to check out what was going on.
He went straight to inspect the bathroom, removed the toilet, and realized that the pipes were corroded. So they had to replace the entire system. But since he’s a busy contractor with several projects on his plate, he assigned the job to one of his workers. To my surprise, this worker was 79 years old. This man had been a master builder in his youth.
And he still had the energy to do this kind of work.
He didn’t give us a materials list, so we went out immediately to buy them so he could start as soon as possible. The bathroom renovation took about three days. At first, the man had a helper to chip away at the floor, and then he focused on installing the pipes.
He finished the work yesterday; now we just have to wait for the concrete to dry. Now there are just a few details left to iron out.
So soon we’ll have two units available for rent in good condition.

Hola Hivers del Mundo. Hoy día jueves y en un día ya se termina la semana. Espero que se encuentren bien. Quiero contarles que en mi casa tenemos dos locales desocupados. Y hemos tenido que hacerle arreglos pues la casa ya tiene muchos años de construida.
Los años pasan y los materiales se degradan, y con ello también las tuberías. En uno de los locales notamos una diferencia de nivel, cerca de un baño, así que contratamos a un maestro de construcción para que revisara qué estaba pasando.
Él se fue directamente a revisar el baño, quitó el water y se dio cuenta que las tuberías estaban corroidas. Así que tenían que cambiar todo el sistema. Pero como él es un maestro ocupado y tiene varias obras a su cargo, le cuesta tarea en uno de sus obreros. Para mi sorpresa este obrero tenía 79 años. Este señor había sido maestro de obra en sus años de juventud.
Y todavía tenía energía para realizar estas labores.
Esta senor no dio una lista de materiales, e inmediatamente fuimos a comprarlos. Para que empezara lo más pronto posible. La reparación del baño tomó aproximadamente tres días. El señor al inicio tuvo un ayudante para picar el piso, y luego él se dedicó a la instalación de las tuberías.
Ayer finalizó el trabajo, ahora Solo queda esperar a que seque el concreto. Ahora sólo quedan afinar algunos detalles.
