Hi Hivers. How are you?

Today I’m sharing with you fruit daifuku. Daifuku is basically mochi, made from rice flour. It’s soft and almost melts in your mouth. It is often stuffed with sweetened red bean paste and sometimes with fruits or a combination of bean paste and fruits.

Recently some were being sold by a local station. I often see strawberry daifuku but this time they had pineapple, kiwi, melon, red grapefruit and orange as well.
This was the view from the glass case and the sign for the shop:

I decided to pick up four for the family. I chose two kinds of fruits.
This was my little package.

It was fun cutting them open to see the “fruit- surprise. “ They were very delicious.
