Hello Hivers! Kumusta!

Have you seen this kind of fruit in real? I was so happy today that I saw one ripe fruit of this cashew tree in our backyard. And this fruit reminds me something about my memorable ,awful experience when I was a kid.

When I was nine years old,I went with my father in his hometown , and I transferred to a new school. It was there that I saw a cashew tree for the very first time.
I was fascinated by it. What caught my attention the most was the seed growing outside the fruit. I had never seen anything like it before.
One afternoon, when only a few students were left at school, I walked over to the tree. It was full of green, unripe fruits. I was excited and curious. I wanted to know what a cashew fruit tasted like.
At that time, I knew nothing about cashews. Since it was my first encounter with the fruit, I thought the green ones were already ready to eat. I didn't realize they still needed time to ripen.
When no one was looking, I picked one of the green fruits and took a bite.
Just a few seconds later, I knew I had made a terrible mistake.
My tongue suddenly started to burn. At first, I thought the feeling would disappear, but instead it became worse and worse. I quickly gargled with water, hoping it would help, but it didn't. The burning sensation stayed .
That happened 33 years ago, so I can't remember exactly how long the pain lasted. But one thing I will never forget is how awful that burning feeling was. It was one of the most unforgettable childhood experiences I've ever had.
Even today, whenever I see ripe cashew fruits with their beautiful yellow, orange, or red colors, I still admire how attractive they look. People have told me that ripe cashews are perfectly safe to eat and are actually sweet and delicious.
But because of that childhood experience, I have never gathered the courage to try one again.
Sometimes, one unexpected experience can stay with us for a lifetime.
