Me acerqué al espejo y me observé,
detallé mis canas, arrugas y ojeras.
Sonreí al ver cómo mi cuerpo a cambiado,
pensé en mi alma.

¿Tendrá arrugas o se verá juvenil?
¿Estará llena de polvo y telarañas?
¿Poseerá marcas de mis luchas y
esfuerzos, alegrías y llantos?

Durante largo rato estuve urgando
para observarla bien,
intentando descubrirla y eso
me sofocó.

Creí que era por el esfuerzo,
así que pausé y recuperé energias
para hacerlo otra vez,
apareciendo la fatiga nuevamente.

Detenido por la sensación revisé
oscuros rincones, aletargados
recuerdos, pesadas imagénes
y los abundantes remiendos.

Miré muchas cosas y entendí pocas
corrí lejos para estar cerca,
aún así sigo caminando creyendo
firmemente que estas letras de mucho
me han de servir.

Letters #02
I approached the mirror and looked at myself,
I detailed my gray hair, wrinkles and dark circles.
I smiled when I saw how my body has changed,
I thought of my soul.

Will it have wrinkles or will it look youthful?
Is it full of dust and cobwebs?
Did I have marks of my struggles and
efforts, joys and tears?

For a long time I was urging
to observe it well,
trying to discover it and that
suffocated me.

I thought it was because of the effort
so I paused and regained my energy
to do it again,
fatigue appearing again.

Stopped by the feeling I checked
dark corners, lethargic
memories, heavy images
and the abundant patches.

I looked at many things and understood few
I ran away to be close
still I keep walking believing
firmly that these lyrics of much
they have to serve me.
