Friends. If the food is not fresh. I like the food container to be "glass." I do not like my food to be sealed in metal containers.
Yes, we use food from the metal containers. But, I am always looking for glass when I can find it.
Since we don't live in one place. Pat rarely cans much of our food.
We recently went to the Amish location that is near to us. Maybe 5 or 6 miles away.
The photo above is from their website. I didn't know that that Amish had websites. Ha
So we went to one of their "bulk food" stores. Here is one shelf with glass containers.
I didn't take many photos. I have heard that the Amish are camera shy. lol
The Amish stores are a great place to find food in glass containers.
We have Amish and Mennonite Communities in Florida too.
Their communities and businesses are visited by nearly everyone that likes good food.
And their restaurants are busy most of the time.
Here is one of the items we had bought. Blackberry Jam.
Here is another item we found that Pat likes. Comb honey.
No, it is not cheap to buy. But buy we do. Ha
Here is one that Pat found in a local store. Peaches in glass.
And my favorite. Beans in a glass container. Pat keeps me away from them most of the time. Ha ha
Well Friends. My dear wife Pat is dragging me off the hill and homestead to go to the bright lights.
I go reluctantly too. Ha
This seems to be a week of throwing money away, starting with yesterday. Ugh
Maybe our economy and the rest of the world can keep on rolling along as it is now.
If what we use. And we have to buy it. We are totally dependent on outside sources.
That is not a good way to live our life.
The attachment is like a hook. Not much different than how we catch fish. Ugh
