Recovery Day 8 - Little push-up progress... my training diary entry from June 14 2026
(No matter which mountain I’ve hiked up so far, there are almost always a few Alpine choughs waiting to snag a bite to eat. Here at the Wendelsteinhaus, the birds have clearly lost all fear of humans.)
Hi Actifitters,
after a two-day break, yesterday it was time again for close-grip push-ups and a few other exercises. Since my main focus during my recovery period is on making progress with push-ups, that is the only thing I will cover here. The following tables show the current status of my training.
The next goal according to the training plan (42+):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 10 | 7 | 7 | max (min. 10) | 120 seconds |
My last attempt (34):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 10 | 7 | 5 | 4 | 120 seconds |
My attempt yesterday (37):
| set 1 | set 2 | set 3 | set 4 | set 5 | break between sets |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | 10 | 7 | 7 | 5 | 120 seconds |
Compared to the last attempt, I managed to increase my count by three push-ups, at least. Let's see how it goes next time.
Apart from that, I’m glad Germany won the match against Curaçao. However, the team still needs to improve significantly; otherwise, it won't be easy to win against the next opponent.
Today is a rest day. I’ll just get my steps in.
