Hi Actifitters,

when I woke up yesterday I was not sure if I will be able to find the motivation for sports. On one side I had a light muscle soreness in my thighs and a relaxed sunday on the sofa is also a nice thing. On the other hand is it even nicer to do some sports an chill on the sofa after.

So I checked which workout my Garmin Enduro 3 had planned for me. To my horror, it was the longest bike ride I had ever completed on the smart trainer.

I wasn't prepared for that, but gradually tried to get used to the idea, until I soon found myself back in the saddle. At my side were two date and peanut bars, a banana, a Red Bull, and two liters of water, which should help me through the two hours and 53 minutes.

Since I wasn't yet sure how to pace myself, I pedaled relatively relaxed at about 32 km/h for the first hour. Gradually, however, I got faster and faster without even trying. My muscles were probably just warmed up, and the energy came naturally. I hadn't actually intended to add any sidequest to this training session, but when I saw how fast I was suddenly going, I started doing the math. The result: Let's go... we make the 100 km.

So I picked up the pace a little, but tried not to slip too far into Zone 3. I managed that quite well. About half an hour before the end, it became really tough, and I had to fight for quite a while to avoid mentally cracking. When I reached about 98 km, the battle against myself was won, and it felt like I could keep going like that for quite some time.

Shortly after, it was over, and I was proud and happy that I had made the effort to attend that training session. Here are some more numbers:

Duration - 2:53:02
Distance - 102.23 km
Average speed - 35.4 km/h
Maximum speed - 42.1 km/h
Average power output - 119 watts
Maximum power output - 124 watts
Average heart rate - 117 bpm
Maximum heart rate - 138 bpm
Average cadence - 95
Maximum cadence - 114

Today I'm going to take it really easy. I'll do a few push-ups and my usual steps, but that'll be it.
