There are 'makers' and 'takers' in this world. It has been said that about 70% of the population lives off the labors of the other 30% of the population. Part of that 70% would be the young, the old, and the disabled. The young are too small to be able to work and are not knowledgeable enough to make things of value. The old, after having provided for others for the greater part of their lives, have become too weak to continue to provide for others and deserve to have their burden lifted. The disabled would have, through no fault of their own, found themselves unable to carry the themselves. Accidents happen and this is to be expected.
Being an adult involves carrying one's own 'weight' and also the 'weight' of those that are not able to carry themselves.
