Para los niños las vacaciones significan que han llegado el descanso del periodo escolar, es el momento en donde ellos se desconectan de hacer tareas y todo lo que tenga que ver con el colegio, este tiempo tan valioso para ellos es sinónimo de disfrute, de mucha diversión y si viene acompañada de salidas fuera de casa mucho mejor.

Luego de 2 largos años de Pandemia en lo que nuestras vidas y todas las rutinas se vieron alteradas de forma inmediata, sin opción a otra alternativa pues contra la naturaleza no se puede, era algo de fuerza mayor, gracias a Dios hoy podemos decir que poco a poco hemos vuelto a retomar el control de nuestros días.
Los que me han leído saben que vivo inventando salidas de todo tipo en lo que tanto mis hijos como yo podamos disfrutar y salir del encierro. Desde siempre a mi me ha gustado salir y conocer nuevos lugares y en nuestra encantadora Isla de Margarita hay infinidades de lugares que visitar, muchos públicos y otros privados.
Por lo general yo trato de no hacer gastos extras, a donde quiera que vaya con mis hijos siempre procuro que vayan bien comiditos y les llevo meriendas y agua mucha agua. En el carro siempre tengo una cava ahí meto hielo y pimpinas de agua con eso los mantengo hidratados y no tengo que hacer muchos gastos fuera de casa.

Those who have read me know that I live inventing outings of all kinds in which both my children and I can enjoy and get out of confinement. I have always liked to go out and see new places and on our charming Isla de Margarita there are countless places to visit, many public and others private.
In general, I try not to incur extra expenses. Wherever I go with my children, I always make sure they eat well and I bring them snacks and plenty of water. I always have a cellar in the car, I put ice and water in it, with that I keep them hydrated and I don't have to incur many expenses away from home.
Para mi disfrutar con mis hijos de salidas es algo necesario, siempre he pensado que no podemos tener a unos niños todo el año en colegio viendo clases, con una rutina de actividades extracurriculares, ellos también merecen salir, conocer y compartir con otros niños que sean contemporáneos con ellos.
Es típico que cada año en vacaciones escolares yo les organizo a mis hijos junto a sus primos que vienen de Caracas paseos a todas partes de la isla, por lo general aquí el Ministerio de Turismo promocionan salidas en autobuses con aire acondicionado, recorriendo diferentes sitios de la Isla, se cancela un pasaje, pero a mi parecer es algo accesible no pasa de los 5$ y salen a las 9:00am y regresan 5:00pm, entonces considerando el clima de la Isla que es tan caliente, el hecho de viajar lejos con aire acondicionado vale mucho y adicional no tener que manejar y gastar gasolina, pienso si se puede pagar es mejor ir cómodos.
En mi antiguo trabajo siempre hacían planes vacacionales y como yo era personal de la coordinación de eventos, siempre lograba incluirlos a todos en el plan vacacional, para ese tiempo disfrutaban mucho pues iban muchos niños y eso hacia las salidas más alegres y divertidas.
Con la llegada de la Pandemia obvio todo eso se suspendió, pero este año en vista de que poco a poco hemos ido retomando las actividades que veníamos haciendo anteriormente, me puse a buscar opciones para ver a donde metía a mi hija Gabriela de plan vacacional.

In general, here the Ministry of Tourism promotes outings in air-conditioned buses, touring different sites of the Island, a ticket is cancelled, but in my opinion it is something accessible, it does not exceed $5 and they leave at 9:00 am and return at 5:00 pm, so considering the climate of the Island, which is so hot, the fact of traveling away with air conditioning is worth a lot and additionally not having to drive and spend gas, I think if you can pay it is better to go comfortable.
In my old job they always made vacation plans and since I was an event coordination staff, I always managed to include them all in the vacation plan, at that time they enjoyed a lot because many children went and that made the outings happier and more fun.
With the arrival of the Pandemic, all that was obviously suspended, but this year, given that little by little we have been resuming the activities that we had been doing previously, I started looking for options to see where I would put my daughter Gabriela as a vacation plan.
En ese momento pensé solo en Gabriela ya que se que Santiago disfruto más de los anteriores planes y el por su edad estaba segura quería también salir con sus amigos, Santiago ya va a la playa, al cine y a otros parques con sus amigos, los puedo llevar yo a todos o el va con sus amigos, entonces yo sabía que para él había otros planes, por eso siempre ínsito que ellos van creciendo y en algún momento querrán estar en otros lugares y compartir con las personas que ellos quieren y yo no escapó de esa realidad.
En cuanto a Gabriela Conseguí una opción muy buena en la casa de la Cultura de la Capital, donde incluían paseos, meriendas y actividades recreativas por 5$ todo el mes de Agosto en un horario de 8:00am a 12:30pm, le hice seguimiento pero deje de ir una semana y cuando fui ya estaba el cupo completo y bueno desistí de este plan, al final no me agradaba mucho pues no quería que Gabriela estuviera todo 1 mes en esas actividades, me conformaba con 1 o 2 semanas, adicional es bastante lejos de casa y tener que despertarla todos los días en la mañana para llevarla hasta allá eso ya me parecía demasiados para ella y para mí, pues la idea era que ella se divirtiera no que fuera una tortura. Así que plan 1 descartado.
En el grupo de WhatsApp del salón de mi hija colocaron la información de un plan vacacional en las instalaciones del Centro de Artes Omar Carreño que es donde ella ve clases de Ballet, ahí estarían haciendo un plan mas cómodo, 2 semanas por 10$, este incluía meriendas, paseos a sitios de interés histórico, manualidades, así como cine, obras de títeres, bioterapia, entre otras cosas, este era mucho mejor pues era de 2:00pm hasta las 5:00pm.
Pero cuando llame ya estaba ful, es decir no habían más cupos, pero recordé que ahí trabajaba una muy buena amiga y cuando la llame, que tal ella era la encargada del plan vacacional y no solo me dio el cupo para Gabriela, sino que me exonero el pago de los 10$ pues ella por ser empleada tenía el cupo para sus dos hijos, pero uno de ellos no iba a poder participar así que me cedió el cupo y sin pensarlo la inscribí.

But when I called it was already full, that is, there were no more places, but I remembered that a very good friend worked there and when I called her, how was she in charge of the vacation plan and not only did she give me the place for Gabriela, but she also I waive the payment of the $10 because she had the quota for her two children because she was an employee, but one of them was not going to be able to participate, so she gave me the quota and without thinking about it, I registered her.
Comenzaba el día lunes 1 de agosto y termina el día viernes 12 de agosto. Cuando llegamos el primer día Gabriela se emocionó mucho porque encontró ahí 3 de sus compañeras del colegio, eso me gusto pues sabía que no se sentiría tan sola, ese día los recibieron con música, recreadores, un cotillón de chucherías y vieron una obra de títeres, Gabriela salió muy contenta el primer día.
Los días siguientes tenían algo diferentes, entre dibujos, pintas caritas, globo magia, Funcionarios de Protección Civil Municipal, les dieron diferentes charlas sobre sismos y catástrofes naturales, cantaron, bailaron, visitaron el museo, la biblioteca pública, el castillo, la catedral, la casa de Juan Bautista Arismendi, fueron a una escuela de música donde tuvieron la oportunidad de tocar ellos mismos los instrumentos, ahí los esperaba un inflable, dibujaron, merendaron en el mismo lugar, otro día escucharon niños y adultos tocando instrumentos musicales y cantaron.
Pero como se trata de mi hija y ya les he contado antes ella es tan pero tan especial, pues no le gusto el plan vacacional, estaban unos niños que se portaban muy mal, cuando les tocaba salir estos niños que por lo general iban siempre atrás porque eran más grandes, pues empujaban a los mas pequeños y terminaban halándole el cabello o hasta empujándola a ella, cosa que no le gustaba ella es muy delicada con ese tipo de cosas.
Entonces que hice para ayudarla como siempre me hice amiga de todas las guías y poco a poco me fui quedando y cuando me di cuenta ya era una más del plan vacacional jajajajaja, entonces cuando tocaba salir iba como una militar atrás poniendo orden a estos niños que de verdad se portaban muy mal.

But since it is about my daughter and I have already told you before, she is so, so special, because she did not like the vacation plan, there were some children who behaved very badly, when it was their turn to go out these children who usually always went behind because they were bigger, they pushed the smaller ones and ended up pulling her hair or even pushing her, which she didn't like, she is very delicate with that kind of thing.
So what did I do to help her as always? I made friends with all the guides and little by little I stayed and when I realized I was already one more of the vacation plan hahahahaha, then when it was time to leave I went like a soldier in the back putting order to these children who They really behaved very badly.
En ese momento recordé lo irónica que es la vida, hay mamás que desean estar al lado de sus hijos siempre y en todo momento cosa que yo no comparto, pues a los niños hay que dejarlos libres y en mi caso quisiera que mi hija fuera independiente, pero ella pues quiere que yo este a su lado. Siempre que la iba a llevar, me decía mami porque no te quedas y me acompañas, yo bueno que toca hacerlo para ayudarla y que de alguna forma pueda disfrutar de algunos días de diversión.
A mí me gusta mucho que mis hijos se relacionen e interactúen con otros niños, eso los ayudara a ser empáticos, sociables, a tener tolerancia y no discriminar a nadie así sea el comportamiento que sea, pues en la vida vamos a encontrar de todo, no podemos tapar el sol con un dedo y pretender que los niños van a tratar solo a los que nosotros como padres nos guste. Con Santiago se me ha hecho muy fácil esto, él se adapta a todo y a todos, pero con Gabriela Dios mío esta niña me saca cada cana verde.
En fin transcurrieron unos días diferentes, en donde se hizo presente la magia del disfrute combinado con la alegría de los niños, cosa que es tan importante en estos tiempos tan difíciles, la pandemia no se ha terminado ni sabemos cuando pasara, lo que si sabemos es que la vida continua, no nos podemos quedar detenidos esperando que todo pase, hay que continuar y adaptarnos a vivir con el Covid-19 al lado hasta que ya desaparezca por completo.
