Hello dear friends, I hope you are feeling very well, the new Holozing creatures recently came out, where you could see very cute and varied designs, I did not miss the opportunity to be inspired by one of them and make my own version, in this case I I really liked the grass type dragon. Taking this dragon as a reference, I made my own version thinking of a kind of second evolution, in which I added details such as a larger size and horns, which I think are very cool, I wanted to add wings but I think it would look better in a final version. evolution, I read about the naming contest so it occurred to me to name this dragon Viridrak."Viri" refers to the color green, and "drak" would be an obvious reference to dragon. I hope you like this design.
Hola queridos amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, recientemente salieron las nuevas criaturas de Holozing, donde se pudo ver diseños muy lindos y variados, no dejé pasar la oportunidad para inspirarme en uno de ellos y hacer una versión propia, en este caso me gustó mucho el dragón tipo hierba. Tomando este dragón como referencia, hice mi propia versión pensando una especie de segunda evolución, en la cual le agregué detalles como un mayor tamaño y cuernos, los que se me hacen muy cool, quise agregarle alas pero creo que se vería mejor en una última evolución, leí acerca del concurso de los nombres así que se me ocurrió ponerle a este dragón Viridrak."Viri" hace referencia al color verde, y "drak" sería una referencia obvia a dragón. Espero que les guste este diseño.
I used a colored cardboard, in this case a blue one, I wanted to vary a little, my intention was to take the blue of the background as a reference for the color of this dragon, but when I put the first strokes of green it didn't turn out like me I expected, you couldn't really appreciate the tone I was using but in the end it was an advantage because I was able to make mixes that contrasted with that blue color in the background.
Utilicé una cartulina de color, en este caso una de color azul, quise variar un poco, mi intención era tomar el azul del fondo como una referencia para el color de este dragón, pero cuando puse los primeros trazos de color verde no resultó como yo esperaba, no se podía apreciar muy bien la tonalidad que estaba usando pero al final fue una ventaja porque pude hacer mezclas que hicieran contraste con ese color azul del fondo.
Taking this into account, I continued painting the color, with a green base that was very light, the lightest of all the shades, and darkened from there. I made for this dragon some kind of giant scales that join together. I made his eyes in a pokemon style, which are very similar to those of a reptile, and to make them stand out very well I used a purple color to darken everything around him.
Teniendo esto en cuenta, seguí pintando el color, con una base de color verde que era muy claro, el más claro de todos los tonos y a partir de ahí oscurecer. Hice para este dragón especie de escamas gigantes que se van uniendo unas con otras. Sus ojos los hice estilo pokemon, los cuales se asemejan mucho a los de un reptil, y para que resaltara muy bien utilicé un color púrpura para oscurecer todo a su alrededor.
Little by little this grass type drgaon is emerging, as I made it large I made its front legs touch the ground, as if it were still a dinosaur, its chest was painted with a mixture of gray and dark blue.
Poco a poco va saliendo este drgaón de tipo hierba, como lo hice de gran tamaño hice que sus piernas delanteras tocaran el suelo, como si fuer aun dinusaurio, su pechó fue pintado con una mezcla de color gris con azul oscuro.
This is how I painted until I finished the dragon, for whom I drew a very long tail with big horns at the end, it became something very terrifying without losing the essence of the character. To highlight the drawing and not leave it floating in a blue void, I painted part of the sky with a darker blue to differentiate the rest, I drew a moon and glow towards where the dragon is, illuminating the horns on its back, and I also painted the abnormal rocks on which it is perched.
Así fui pintando hasta terminar el dragón, a quién le dibuje una cola muy larga con grandes cuernos al final, se me hizo algo muy aterrador sin perder la esencia del personaje. Para resaltar el dibujo y que no quedara flotando en un vacío azul, pinte parte del cielo con un azul más oscuro para diferenciar el resto, dibujé una luna y resplandor hacia donde etsa el dragón, iluminando los cuernos de su espalda, así también pinté las anormes rocas en las cuales está posado.
What did you think of the result? I think that if it has turned out like an evolved dragon, ready to fight and show new powers, I think I will continue with this same design with slight variations to add powerful and intimidating wings and make it look like a final evolution. Qué les ha parecido el resultado? creo que si ha quedado como un dragón evolucionado, listo para luchar y mostrar nuevos poderes, creo que seguiré con este mismo diseño con ligeras variaciones para agregar unas poderosas e intimidantes alas y que luzca como una evlución final.
