In this post i want to share my feeling about coffee shop and i will tell you about this one coffee shop that i’ve been into lately. Coffee shop is part of culture especially in my environment, i think i have said before that hanging out in coffee shop is one must thing we should do when we hang out with our friends. Even when we were just finished eating in the restaurant or something, we should spare some times in the coffee shop too. So, coffee shop is a special part of my social life even when i am not a coffee drinker myself.
So, am I only going to the coffee shop to hang out with my friends? No, it is not. Even when i am alone, i love going to the coffee shop. Mostly because i love the vibe that they have in most coffee shop. I can just go to coffee shop to relax my mind or to working. I have been to coffee shop since by myself since my university days. I even spent almost most of the time when i prepare for my thesis and graduation in coffee shop.
There are few types of coffee shop that we have in here, one is the more traditional one where families go in there and i usually more noisier. People like to watch sport together too in there, so its not the choice if you want to get the peace or you want to work on something. The price in this kind of coffee shop is relatively cheaper compared to other type coffee shop. The other is the “coffee shop” where they have pretty room decor, air conditioner, and usually the vibe is more peaceful and calm.
In this post, i will share about the coffee shop that i went to with my sister. My sister asked me to go to this coffee shop because it looks really pretty and she never been to this coffee shop before. But her friend told her that the drinks in here is pretty nice. The name of the coffee shop is Kome. Its located in Jl. Teuku Cik Ditiro No.8a, Madras Hulu, Kec. Medan Polonia, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara. The main reason why we went there together is because we want to hang out while doing our works. So we work while chatting in there.
This is what the coffee shop looks like. Look at how gorgeous the coffee shop are. I am not knowledgeable in design interior but the coffee shop remind me of traditional chinese or japanese design. It looks very elegant and calming. Even though the coffee shop is in the bright side, which i usually prefer a darker vibe coffee shop, i can still feel the calmness and peace when i am entering and sitting down in there. I like the combination if the brown and orange color in the light grey base color. It makes everything looks cool.
This is their menu. Not only drinks, we can also snacking in there. They sell some light bites in the coffee shop. Of course, i ordered one for me too.
This is the snacks that i ordered. Its french fries. It might hard to just a french fries because they all almost taste similar everywhere but i love that they put something different in there. They put something like a nori powder, i honestly doesn’t know what its called but lets just called them nori powder. The texture of the french fries is perfect which is soft inside and crunchy outside. Since i love salty french fries, the nori powder make it more salty which i love very much.
This is my drink. The drink is really cute. I ordered Caramel Macchiato. I ordered mine with less ice and plus topping boba. I rarely ordered coffee but since the vibe of the place called for a coffee i decided to order coffee this time. I am not regretting them because it taste so good. Truth to be told, macchiato variant is the coffee drink variant thats the easiest for me to enjoy. That is why for new place like this, i always choose to drink macchiato if i want to drink coffee. I hope one day i can try americano because my sister said that their americano taste pretty good too.
