This skirt was a favorite of mine three years ago, but I got a little thick around the waist. I missed wearing it, so I removed the tight elastic waistband and created a new one with some leftover ponte knit fabric. Now it fits comfortably.
I also had some lightweight interlock knit left over from another project. It was just barely enough for a dressy T-Shirt top that will go with several of my skirts.
The stretch stitches on my vintage Kenmore machines do a beautiful job with all sorts of stretch fabrics.
