My reflection on "Why does God take the lives of good people sooner than those evil ones?" The Old Path

Isaiah 57 verse 1 says, "The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come." (KJV)

This verse seems to suggest that it's the good people who die young, while the bad people live long lives. But is this the case?

First, we need to understand the context of this verse. Isaiah was a prophet who lived at a time when the Israelites were living sinful lives. He was speaking to the people who had turned away from God and were worshipping idols.

Isaiah was warning them of the consequences of their sin and urging them to repent and turn back to God. In this particular passage, he is telling them that the righteous will be spared from the coming judgment while the wicked will be punished.

The understanding from the above is simple. God allows the righteous person to die young to save him or her from future coming evil. This means God knows what the future will be and would not want His right man to suffer any evil, hence He takes them away by death.

According to Brother Eli, there's nothing like an untimely death. All deaths that will happen on earth happen because God allows them. God is the owner of our lives, and anytime He chooses to take our lives we cannot disagree.

However, there is one reason God takes the lives or allows good people to die young. That's what the prophet Isaiah has written, that the righteous are taken away and no one takes it to heart.

No one thinks about the reason why the righteous are taken away, but Isaiah answered that they are taken away from the evil to come. So, it's God's method of protecting the righteous and good people from evil to come in this world.

God takes the lives of good people to save them from future distress, heartache, and maybe terrible sickness that may come in the future which only God can see.

Instead of living a longer life and suffering terrible problems and evil, it's God's choice to take away the righteous and good people by death to prevent them from encountering such evil plights.

The world we live in is becoming eviler every day, some bad people do nothing else but harm others. People kill at will these days, and commit all sorts of evil. We are living in a very loose time with evil all around us.

So, when a good person dies, we should not call it untimely death. Because with God there's no untimely death, instead, God uses that to save the person from future evil which only He can see.
