Everyone wants to be seen, everyone wants something that will always bring peace to our hearts; yet, some of us have chosen a route in quest of that serenity, and that path has led us to even more disaster. Some of us have found ourselves in a situation where we believe we would find the answer to our cravings, but it turns out to be a trap. The escape from the realities of life has led us to the horror of evil, no liberating experience of divine Love, nor the assurance of salvation we sought has ever kept us from falling into the embrace of transgression.
We could not remove the darkness from our hearts; we tried everything to get rid of it. Our hearts got infected with many infections, including the most dangerous ones, selfishness, envy, and self-righteousness. We continued trying to be happy, we tried to ignore our heart’s predicament but it is still there, dark, full of malice, and filled with negative emotions. We got to the point where we became empty and superficial to the point that no one around could satisfy us. We could not be happy, satisfied, or contented in this world. The light and joy have no way of getting into our heart. We could not be different, we did not want to be different.
However, since we are still searching for a way out, the darkness has not overpowered us and we are able to come out of it. Therefore, we must allow the light to extinguish our darkness, there is a ray of beautiful sunshine in us and this light can light up this dark place. There is a difference between happiness and joy, happiness is a temporary state and joy is an eternal state. We may think that we are happy but if we think that life is a sea of no return, then we are wrong, the light can pull us out of this pit. It can give us a second chance at life, so this light in us needs to be deployed into the darkness of our soul.
Though many things can pass for light, the truth remains that light has no replacement. If we're in the midst of a gloomy period in our life, the remedy is light; light doesn't beg darkness; rather, darkness flees at the first sign of light. There is no victory in darkness, there is no triumph in darkness, there is no hope in the darkness, darkness feeds on hope. We even dare say that the darkness can never defeat the light.
So let's stop battling with the darkness of the soul because fighting it won't make it go away; there is only one answer to darkness, and once we find it, darkness will go. The answer is light.
The light does not impose itself in our lives, it comes through us and we obey the voice within that says "let me shine" The light that ignites our hearts, unleashes our potential, corrects our faults, and strengthens our souls, this light is an essence of our self, an eternal principle that is part of the very DNA of who we are. This light can transform us from the inside out and can equip us to achieve miracles in our lives and in the lives of the people around us.
We must hear the voice of our soul and follow its direction, our soul is God. The way that we live our life will always reflect the light of God that resides in our soul and this light will help us to be the best that we can be. If we follow this light and transform our darkness into light, then I promise you that we will not only experience happiness in our life but we will experience joy, and that joy will radiate to those around us. We will also experience how happiness can help to transform the lives of others around us.
If we let this light in us, if we follow this light, we will be a force for good, for beauty, and for justice.
