¿Recuerdan cuando escribimos "Pensar HIVE"? Sólo era un ejercicio de pensamientos que derivaron en las entregas 33, 34 y 35 de "Minutos con el editor", un podcast que hacemos dos veces a la semana y donde tratamos diferentes temas sobre la plataforma. Éste es subido en la comunidad Full Deportes, los lunes, además de los jueves y pueden ver el recuento de los capítulos en nuestro canal de @threespeak.

Remember when we wrote "Thinking HIVE"? It was just an exercise of thoughts that derived in the 33rd, 34th and 35th installments of "Minutes with the Editor", a podcast we do twice a week and where we discuss different topics about the platform. This one is uploaded to the Full Deportes community, on Mondays, as well as Thursdays and you can see the episode count on our channel at @threespeak.

De ese pensar eterno y una serie de situaciones que han pasado recientemente, me di cuenta la cantidad de mitos que se tejen alrededor de las muchas vivencias dentro de #Hive. Quizás me encuentre paranoico o enajenado, pero lo que sí es verdad es: tenemos una serie de mitos dados por ciertos en la plataforma y ya va siendo tiempo que muchos de ellos desaparezcan. No es por ninguna razón en particular, pero un producto descontaminado será más atractivo para los potenciales inversores.

From that eternal thinking and a series of situations that have happened recently, I realized how many myths are woven around the many experiences within #Hive. Maybe I'm paranoid or alienated, but what is true is: we have a number of myths taken for granted on the platform and it's about time that many of them disappear. Not for any particular reason, but a decontaminated product will be more attractive to potential investors.

"Las recompensas de Hive me dan para vivir" #Hive no es un trabajo, no es una plataforma de beneficiencia, es una red social basada en tecnología blockchain. Eso es todo. Y como red social que es, tiene usted que interactuar con otros hivers. De cualquier otro modo, la plataforma pierde su razón de ser. Las redes sociales de cualquier naturaleza no están concebidas para tener una nómina fija, son las personas que viven en ella quienes le dan propósito. Simple.

"Hive's rewards give me a living " #Hive is not a job, it's not a charity platform, it's a social network based on blockchain technology. That's it. And as a social network that it is, you have to interact with other hivers. Otherwise, the platform loses its raison d'être. Social networks of any nature are not meant to have a fixed payroll, it's the people who live on them who give it purpose. Simple.

Siempre me he referido a la naturaleza financiera de la plataforma porque es otro de sus propósitos ¿Quiere mejores recompensas? ¿Desea ser más influyente? ¿Quiere dictar las reglas? ¿Se le ocurrió un emprendimiento basado en el mundo virtual? Invierta, haga stake, participe en el marketing, haga trabajo voluntario; es decir, Hive es tan amplio que publicar es solo una parte muy pequeña de las cosas que puede hacer acá. Pero tiene que investigar, el conocimiento sobre algo no llega solo. Invierta tiempo si no tiene dinero. Simple.

I have always referred to the financial nature of the platform because that is another of its purposes. Do you want better rewards? Do you want to be more influential? Do you want to dictate the rules? Have you come up with a venture based in the virtual world? Invest, stake, participate in marketing, volunteer; I mean, Hive is so broad that publishing is only a very small part of the things you can do here. But you have to do research, knowledge about something does not come by itself. Invest time if you don't have money. Simple.

And after all the work, don't waste your rewards. Do what you want with your liquid part, but don't touch the stake (Hive Power, HP) for God's sake! Every dollar you withdraw from the platform at HP is a dollar short to pay for that life-saving operation down the road, to buy the expensive drugs your child needs, to help with a loved one's funeral expenses and, if none of that happens, to supplement your retirement pension, as soon as you get tired of making content. Simple.

Es decir, acá solo se crece cuando no nos dejamos doblegar por el desánimo ¿No me vieron hoy? Me verán mañana. Simple.

Puede que sienta ser el ombligo del mundo en su entorno, pero eso no sucede en #Hive. El valor que agrega a la cadena es lo que le ayudará a conseguir los ansiados votos. ¿Tiene pertinencia lo que dice? ¿Es congruente su contribución y da un espacio para divagar o debatir? ¿Puede cambiar la perspectiva de alguien? Muchas de estas preguntas y otras, se agregan a la lista de un curador antes de conceder la justa recompensa.

You may feel you are the navel of the world in your environment, but that doesn't happen in #Hive. The value you add to the chain is what will help you get the coveted votes. Does what you say have relevance? Is your contribution congruent and does it give a space to digress or debate? Can it change someone's perspective? Many of these questions, and others, are added to a curator's list before the just reward is given.

¿Cuánto tiempo interactúa usted en la cadena? ¡No importa! Lo importante es el valor que agrega en cada transacción. Muchos dicen "Es que no hago comentarios porque no tengo tiempo" Bueno, eso es válido para todos. How long do you interact in the chain? It doesn't matter! What matters is the value you add to each transaction. Many people say "I don't comment because I don't have time" Well, that is valid for everyone. What matters is that there are both producers and consumers, a balance. What do you think will happen to the project if there is no one to help show it off alive? It dies! And if you waste precious time in traditional networks for no payment, isn't it better to invest time here, where you are rewarded? Simple.

Todo lo que han leído hasta éste párrafo, son solo pensamientos que se arremolinan en mi cabeza, formando un torbellino de ideas por salir a la luz. Pero tenemos que ser muy cuidadosos con lo planteado. Muchas personas les gusta malinterpretar lo que decimos, sea por ignorancia o por pura necedad. Lo cierto del caso es que necesitamos ganar nuestro espacio dentro del mundo anglosajón ¿por qué lo decimos? A la luz de los hechos de ésta semana.

Everything you have read up to this paragraph are just thoughts swirling around in my head, forming a whirlwind of ideas to come to light. But we have to be very careful about what we say. Many people like to misinterpret what we say, either out of ignorance or sheer foolishness. The truth of the matter is that we need to win our space in the Anglo-Saxon world, why do we say it? In light of this week's events.

No les contaré el detalle de lo sucedido, si les puedo decir: después de aquello, un mecenas anglosajón dejó de apoyar nuestra comunidad alegando un viaje largo de negocios que le alejaría de #Hive por un tiempo y su HP lo iba a delegar en la comunidad curadora líder de la blockchain. Una persona comentó en privado que siempre sucedía eso, una vez se retira el mecenas de algún lugar delegan en esa comunidad curadora.

I will not tell you the details of what happened, if I can tell you: after that, an Anglo-Saxon patron stopped supporting our community claiming a long business trip that would take him away from #Hive for a while and his HP was going to delegate it to the leading blockchain curator community. One person commented to me privately that this always happened, once the patron of some community retires, if they are Anglo-Saxon, they delegate to that curatorial community.

The Spanish-speaking community has come a long way; however, we have not earned the respect we deserve. And as long as cheaters or people who only want rewards without giving anything in return continue to appear, it will be an uphill battle.
