"Revolution?" Jar said, his head lifting from the bar just enough for the beer, his cheeks had been resting in, to drip back on to the sticky surface. "Who's having a revolution?"
Kip looked at me and I looked at Kip. We both laughed.
"What?" Jar asked, now sat upright. He reached for a napkin, used and covered in gravy from someone else's plate, on the table next to ours, and began dabbing at the beer on his face.
"Nice sleep?" Kip asked.
"I wasn't sleeping," Jar said, the indignant look on his face somewhat spoiled by the smear of brown gravy he had wiped upon it. "I was just resting my eyes."
"You were snoring," I said.
"And farting," Kip said.
"I fart when I am awake," Jar said. "I snore too. Just very quietly. What's this about a revolution?"
"Ah," said Kip, winking at me.
"If we told you, we would have to kill you."
"You guys are arseholes," Jar said. "I'm going to the bar to get more beer. Someone seems to have poured mine on to the table here."
