My favourite and simple breakfast always oatmeal, wholemeal bread 🍞🥐, eggs 🍳, and a cup of coffee and tea. ☕🍵😋
This morning I visited my favourite Hainanese coffee shop "Keng Wan Heng". A very old coffee shop since 1984... That's 38 years old!! Older days they started with just a small stall selling hot steamed pao and buns. From small stall to a shop, and a 2 generation family business.
Pre-pandemic, the coffee shop was always fulled and crowded with both locals and tourist. You can hardly find any seats. 😅 But now its like reduced to 50% of the capacity.
What most surprising is they don't really increase their bun's price at all! Where can you still find RM1.20/bun? Others are at least RM2-5 each. Even they became famous, their remained affordable to locals. That's one of the main reason they are unaffected during pandemic. Unlike others are either suffered or closed down. 😉😉
Well, if you get a chance to visit Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, do visit them. 😁😉 Their most famous bun is Pineapple bun 🍍and Butter bun.
