Hey everyone! It took me Faridah - it's been a couple of days but phew, I'm finally here!
Was at the training for women by Team Malaysia the other day, and it was fascinating to learn about Steemit and the potential it will have. Met a whole bunch of fascinating ladies like Lynette, Ellicia, Kartina, Ranjita and Elin.
To be honest, I've been off Facebook - I want to be on a platform that is more meaningful. Hopefully, Steemit will prove to be that for me.
A little about me. I left the corporate rat race about 15 years ago -- figured life wasn't meant to be spent 10 hours or more in the office and just two weeks of vacation time (will do another post on that soon). Don't get me wrong, I loved being a journalist and a strategic communications professional -- but when you turn around 30-ish, you kinda get that fork in the road when you think - What else is out there? Right? Plus I was single -- and my hectic work life didn't leave me much time to date!
So here I am now - I've had the honour of doing training not only to Malaysians, but people from all over the world on Leadership Communication and Marketing to Women. When it comes down to it, everyone wants to build a better life for themselves and their loved ones. We all just want to do better and be better - and the best way to do that is to help someone else get to where they want to go.
So in a nutshell, that's what happened - I took (and continue to take) action, and now a decade and a half later, I am happily married, doing what I love,and I want as many people as possible to do this too - especially WOMEN!
Glad to be on the Steem-Boat, and let's see where it takes us!
