Visitando el vivero Las Tinajas

He estado intentando cultivar tomates en casa, pero lamentablemente aún no he podido lograrlo. Las plantas crecen hasta cierto punto, pero luego algo les pasa: o se marchitan cuando las trasplanto, o se secan de repente y también tardan mucho en florecer para que así pueda aparecer el tomate.

No sé si esto es algo normal, no sé si es que es muy difícil cultivar tomates en macetas; la verdad, no sé a ciencia cierta qué sucede, pero como voy aprendiendo en el camino y siguiendo mi instinto, aunque tal vez esto no sea suficiente para cultivar, pensé que sería buena idea adquirir humus de lombriz y algunas vitaminas para las plantas, para ver si de esta forma llegan a dar frutos.

Con este objetivo en mente, fui a un vivero muy hermoso que queda en Lechería, una ciudad vecina. Al llegar quedé maravillada, como siempre; tantos colores me abrazan. Sucede que cada vez que entro a este lugar es como que se abriera una puerta mágica; la energía cambia por completo, es más ligera, y se me llenan los ojos de alegría al observar tanta belleza.

I've been trying to grow tomatoes at home, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to do so yet. The plants grow to a certain point, but then something happens to them: either they wilt when I transplant them, or they suddenly dry out, and they also take a long time to flower so that the tomatoes can appear.

I don't know if this is normal, I don't know if it's very difficult to grow tomatoes in pots; honestly, I don't know for sure what's happening, but as I'm learning along the way and following my instincts, even though this may not be enough to grow them, I thought it would be a good idea to buy worm humus and some vitamins for the plants, to see if this way they will bear fruit.

With this goal in mind, I went to a beautiful nursery in Lechería, a neighboring town. When I arrived, I was amazed, as always; so many colors embraced me. Every time I enter this place, it's like a magical door opens; the energy changes completely, it's lighter, and my eyes fill with joy when I see so much beauty.

Este vivero ha crecido bastante. Ahora se pueden observar más plantas; hay mucha más variedad. Incluso pude ver que tienen una planta bellísima de chiles. ¡Nunca antes la había visto!

En el lugar pedí asesoría sobre vitaminas para plantas de tomate y me vendieron un producto que viene presentado en pequeñas pelotitas blancas y marrones. La chica que me atendió me dijo que posee una mezcla de elementos beneficiosos para el crecimiento del tomate, como potasio y fósforo; también me indicó cómo debía aplicarlo. Llevé este producto junto con el humus de lombriz.

En el vivero estuve admirando muchas plantas antes de realizar mi compra; quise postergar ese momento para poder disfrutar más del lugar. Me encantaron las pequeñas rosas, el bonsái, los arreglos de la flor de la prosperidad o zamioculcas, muy en tendencia actualmente.

This nursery has grown considerably. Now you can see more plants; there is much more variety. I even saw that they have a beautiful chili plant. I had never seen it before!

I asked for advice on vitamins for tomato plants and they sold me a product that comes in small white and brown pellets. The girl who helped me told me that it contains a mixture of elements that are beneficial for tomato growth, such as potassium and phosphorus; she also told me how to apply it. I bought this product along with some worm humus.

At the nursery, I admired many plants before making my purchase; I wanted to delay that moment so I could enjoy the place more. I loved the small roses, the bonsai, and the arrangements of prosperity flowers or zamioculcas, which are very trendy right now.
