It's been a few days the weather in Taiwan is very bad. Rain, wind, and cold. So many people decide to stay at home. To survive the full winter and rainy season and decided to steam the pumpkin and saute broccoli, carrots, and dried mushrooms. I got the ingredients from the refrigerator, which some time ago I bought at the market near my house.
Broccoli is a vegetable that is rich in vitamins, minerals and many health benefits, including being a source of antioxidants, reducing inflammation, preventing cancer, controlling blood sugar, brain health, body health, and many other benefits. While dried mushrooms are useful for lowering cholesterol, preventing blood clots, and maintaining blood sugar balance. While carrots, contain Vitamin A to maintain eye health.
Let's see what ingredients I prepared?
• One medium-sized broccoli
• 8 pieces of dried mushrooms
• 1 small carrot
• 2 pieces of red chili
• 4 cloves garlic
• 1 tsp oil
• 1 tsp salt
• flavoring
-Clean the broccoli, peel the skinned stems, then cut into medium-sized pieces.
-Soak the dried mushrooms, drain them, then slice the tips.
-Wash carrots, then cut according to taste.
-Slice chili according to taste
-Slice the garlic according to taste.
Cooking steps!
• Heat the frying pan
• Add oil
• Sauté the garlic until fragrant, then stir-fry the chilies until fragrant
• Put the dried mushrooms first
• Put in carrots
• Lastly broccoli
• Fry until fragrant, add a little water, then cover briefly. So that the vegetables look fresh, keep the fire high
-Open the lid of the stir fry, then add salt and seasoning to taste.
-Keep broccoli not too soft, so that it causes the loss of vitamins and protein.
For the pumpkin, I steamed about 3-4 minutes, because I cut it not too big. So afraid of being too soft. Pumpkin as a substitute for rice, can maintain stability and lose weight, improve digestion, maintain eye health, reduce the risk of getting cancer. Maintain heart health, and brain function.
I try to maintain and consume healthy and nutritious food, because as the Quote "you are what you eat"
