I've been around long enough to know that writing at night sacrifices a few things when it comes to posting. Votes are the first thing that is noticed which come in at a much slower and lower rate. That's all good if that isn't why you're here or why you're writing to begin with but the second thing which is sacrificed is chatter on your post.
That sucks. Who really feels like writing and writing and writing to just have your post sit with votes and no sort of interaction? I write at night because that is when I'm free for the day. I've been around since 2017 and have had many different types of posts. I know how to get interaction and how to get people to read and think.
This is more of a don't give up type of post for new fish in the Hive ecosystem. Votes and replies will come. You just have to do something out of the box. Don't try to copy what's on the daily hot list, the hot list is hot because the writers have put the time in to get their names to the top. Join some groups, follow and chat with people instead of waiting for people to chat with you.
Now if you're sitting with no votes as well as no replies, it is even more important to go out there and reply to other people's posts. Read their post and leave thoughtful well-written replies to them. Give them a reason to come check out your blog. Don't just go hunting for the big fish thinking you'll get these big votes. Focus on smaller fish as their votes add up faster than waiting on that one big vote which may never come.
Lastly, vote for some witnesses, learn who they are don't just throw votes. Stack your hive power, that's your vote power, sell your hive dollars for more hive to get more power. There's nothing bigger fish like more than the little fish growing. That means you're here to stay and add to the ecosystem not just grab some quick cash and dip out.
Try not to throw shade or cap around here either it causes problems and will keep your votes down. I know you're reading this and looking at my hive power but I've given away 1,000's before this became hive. I plan on giving away 1,000's more. That's just who I am. I live a certain type of life and giving means more to me than stacking does. It keeps me humble and helps others build their accounts which helps retain users.
Now I wrote this late at night on a Saturday so it will sit highly unread but the few of those of you who find this take to heart the lessons left here for you. They will help you make it here and hopefully get your account growing as you're looking for it to grow.
