It is another weekend and I am caught up in several obligations. However, I have made a promise to myself that I'll deliver an article everyday irrespective of circumstances. To a large extent, I have been able to keep that promise (including today, lol).
I also made another one not to take any Hive earnings, but that has been easier said than done for now. However, I have been able to hold the majority of it and let it compound, the results have been astounding.
Finding myself just a few Hive away from 5000HP in such a relatively short amount of time for me is quite remarkable. By my own calculations, I had expected this towards the end of the year or longer than that. That's the beauty of consistency I guess - the ability to attract serendipities.
Not just with Hive, but generally going through with a plan (particularly one that involves self discipline) tends to produce results beyond our expectations. It is as a result of this that we simply cannot ignore the potential that lies with being consistent.
Then we have the ability to compound. Not many avenues provide this opportunity, especially in our modern consumerist society. We are so focused on satisfying the now that it is sometimes difficult to let those future deposits accumulate especially with pressing needs of the now, but the thing is it does pay in the long-run..
With Hive specifically, there are actual incentives to compound and keep building unlike some other projects that the compounded benefits aren't clearly visible. The potential from growing consistently and letting that asset become something is quite massive.
I think we should also take advantage of the period to build with Hive, as the future looks very bright for this project. Who knows if we'd get the opportunity to build this way (by simply blogging) in another couple of years. Hive honestly has no boundaries at this point, and we should be seeing some massive strides towards development as Hive becomes harder to earn. The best time to build is now.
Therefore from a Hive perspective it certainly pays to be involved heavily at this stage whether as an investor or as a participant. Even for the investment pools, the earlier we go in and build, the better they could potentially pay off down the line.
Consistent builders have their day to harvest, irrespective of what is being built. Those who compound their asset inevitably have more to give themselves an easier pathway for development in the long term. That's the beauty of consistency and compounding, and that's why I won't be slowing down anytime soon.
