Some say that "you will never no where you're going unless you know where you're coming from". That's more like a growth measuring index. Our abilities to account for each step will take towards a better life, will help us to look back and tap ourselves on the back for efforts made so far.

The image shows me on a poorly constructed wooden scaffold. I choose the word 'poorly' because the experience we had working there still affects me till date. To cut it short, the scaffolding system collapsed, I was fortunate not to be on top of it, and even more fortunate for the way I used reflex action to catch the hand of my colleague who I was serving tiles we used on the garbled roof design.

It would have been a catastrophic event because it was a storey building with penthouse, which means we were on the second floor. That event made me to be afraid of heights till now, although I have continued to work on that fear, having progressed from just a Tiler to a civil engineer, after a couple of years.

I thought of sharing this with you, so as to know a bit of my roots. Although I'm still a work in progress, I can look back and count many steps I've taken to this stage with a smile on my face. A lot of persons here have made my life better and I'm ever grateful for that.
