I never thought that an ordinary day would become one of the most beautiful memories of my life. I went to Islamabad for my internship interview at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad (ISSI). Little did I know that this trip would become special for another reason — I was going to meet my best friend.
The best part of my day was meeting my best friend. We studied together at Chakwal University. The moment I saw him roaming in the corridor, he was on a call. He was wearing a beautiful suit, and he looked like an officer. I just stood there, looking at him for a moment.
Then I walked towards him and started talking to him. I told him about my interview, and he guided me through the interview and gave me some useful advice.
After that, I went to meet the Director, who asked me several questions. The best part was that I remained quite confident throughout the interview. I handled the interview well, and the most exciting moment was when he asked me to commit to six months, which made me feel that he was seriously considering me for the internship.
After my interview, my friend and I went to a restaurant. The weather was pleasant that day, which gave us even more energy. We ordered KFC Zinger burgers, fries, and drinks.
While enjoying our meal, we reminisced about the old days when we used to enjoy our student life together. We talked, laughed, and reminisced about many beautiful moments from our university days. Spending the whole day together made it feel like one of the best days of my life.
Later, he dropped me at the bus station, and I left for Chakwal. I enjoyed my journey while listening to the famous song “Dil Mein Ho Tum” and kept reminiscing about the beautiful day that had just passed.
After travelling for two hours, I finally reached my destination. I told my sisters all about my day and everything that had happened. We had coffee together while I shared my memories with them.
After a while, it started raining. We really enjoyed the rain, and Mama made delicious fried chicken for us. Since Papa is living abroad, we also had a video call with him and shared the happiness of the day.
Looking back, it was such a beautiful day. The internship interview, meeting my friend, remembering our student life, the pleasant weather, the journey home, and the rainy evening with my family all made it a day I will always remember.
Thank you so much for reading my blog. I hope you enjoyed reading about my day as much as I enjoyed living it. ❤️
