The flood did come. As you can see from the photo, it’s more than anyone wanted to contend with. They closed Sumas down again; Main Street in Everson was closed as well. This time, the flood was not as widespread, meaning for example, it didn’t reach the western side of Everson, but it was still a major issue for about 80% of those affected the first flood go round. What’s worse, we are headed for another major storm ‘atmospheric river’, as they are being called is due to hit overnight tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday. Here goes round 3!!😳😳😳
It’s going to get interesting for sure, especially since I will be in town Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for work. I’m already working on an alarm system of people who can let me know if I need to close up shop and head for home should this create an imminent threat. Time will tell.
We headed out for a hike this afternoon and Jan came with. It was warmer than anticipated as you can tell in this photo I was taking of the sunset.
Earlier this morning, I caught Cot having a conversation with Clementine the door keeper. I think they were discussing rain, lol 😂
