Greece Vacation – Day 11... my holiday diary entry from October 21 2026

Hi Actifitters,
yesterday was, in fact, the last full day of my vacation in Greece. It is always both surprising and a bit sad how quickly a holiday comes to an end when you’re having a good time. And, aside from the few days when I wasn’t feeling so great due to a cold, I definitely had a fantastic time.
The good thing is, this certainly wasn’t the last time I’ll be here. Maybe I’ll be able to come back as early as next year.
The day began the way every day has started for me for ages: with a coffee and the drafting of my daily post. Afterward, I accompanied a buddy to a client’s place, where there was an issue with a swimming pool. Fortunately, the problem was quickly identified and resolved, allowing us to move on to some leisure time.
First, we visited a bar right on the beach to have a bite to eat in the beautiful weather and enjoy a Mythos—my favorite beer here in Greece. Afterward, we headed home, where we took care of the animals and then retreated into the shade with a JBL speaker and some laid-back music to have a bit of a chat.
In the evening, we headed to a restaurant that my wife, my buddy, and I had already visited back in 2023, where we’d had a great time. It was just as good again yesterday. For one last time, I stuffed myself at dinner with all the delicious treats that Greek cuisine has to offer.
Afterwards, we enjoyed our final evening together over a few more beers and an ouzo or two.

I’ll just say one thing: my fear of stepping on the scale again is growing. ;)
The day of departure has arrived, and I’m genuinely sad about it. Now it’s a matter of making the most of the final hours before heading back to Germany. Let’s see what else we can come up with for today.
