"The older you get, the less you care"...
That's my dad's motto. Whenever I whine to him about all kind of things -mostly behaviours of others'- that annoy me his response is the same; "stop caring too much, stop torturing yourself".
To be honest he gets on my nerves! How he can be so zen all the time? How he can really not give a damn about the minor yet frustrating things? (What others did, what others DARED to say, what others think).
"Dad, you are a guru".
"No I'm just older than you..."
He says that time helps you realise that frustration about the majority of things is pointless. Yeah right! I know that! And that's the funniest thing. I agree with him. Yes I do believe that. But I cannot apply it in my everyday life! How on earth can someone believe something but don't have a clue how to make it happen?!
"It needs practice." He always has an answer. A good one.
However I'm impatient. I want to be able to taste this huge success before my 60's. I want, I need to set me free from this pointless torture. I want to care less about the stupid things and I hope to make it as soon as possible...
