They're all real instruments. I saw a live video of them at like a local bar. And then they just broke the band up and they never made an album again.
They had a Twitter account. With just this album. And I just love the music.
It was so fun to play this for all of you. Because I've never gotten to share it with anyone. Unless it comes on when I'm Ubering.
Then I say, oh, this is a local band from Buffalo. You know what I mean? It's in the Purple Pill DJ. Yeah, it's the one that says Jocelyn.
I just got it. I added it to my playlist. Thank you for sharing.
Love it. Thanks, Jocelyn. I think Echo is ready to perform.
Echo, Echo, Echo. We got Juan with his hand up. What's up, Juan? No, go ahead, brother.
Oh, okay. No worries. I didn't know if you wanted to have input on the song that was played or whatever.
Of course we do. DJ is my grunge brother. And he knows this.
And Juan is also a grunge brother. And so I thought, well, what kind of grunge song can I play for DJ since it's his birthday? Stone Temple Pilots, Mad Seasons, Alice in Chains. And I thought I'd go ahead and I settled in on an Alice in Chains song, Down the Hole.
I haven't played this since All the Spaces. And so we'll see if we can get through this for you. You know, if someone came and told me Echo was a famous singer from Seattle back in the 90s or 80s, I would say, yes, of course it was.
What are you talking about? Wow. Echo, you brought me to tears, man. I don't want to dampen the mood, but that song brings back a lot of memories, man.
In my deep alcoholic phase, I would listen to that and just cry. Not just because, you know, it was a horrible song. It's really beautiful.
But you could feel the pain in his voice, especially when they did that live on the MTV Acoustic album. And I just, man, addiction sucks. But, you know, I started this thing called, I post, it's called random shit from my playlist, abbreviated by pound RFP.
And I just post random songs that show up in my playlist each morning. And I always dread when that song comes up or I'm dreading when it comes up because it just brings back so many memories. And I'm not saying that that's a painful thing or like that was so beautiful, man.
I mean, that was just unbelievably incredible. Great cover. And it's good to remember that music.
It's good to remember the pain. But, man, all these amazing artists that died way too young, just way too young. RFP.
But thank you, brothers. I love you, man. I love you, Juan.
