I have this doubt when I try to find the name of this species through Google lens, and I am surprised to find its name. this is the meadow froghopper Philaenus spumarius or meadow spittlebug, is a species of insect belonging to the spittlebug family Aphrophoridae.

I was wondering how it could get the name with Froghopper? Is it because of the shape of its front head that has a little resemblance to an amphibian?

But anyway, this is certainly an insect, and I found him in the abandoned yard behind my parent's house. I think this is the first time I have seen this little creature.

At first, it just jumped right into my hand, when I tried to get some photos of this guy, but it kept on moving, and it was so hard to take photos of this guy. I only got three photos when this guy was in my hand.

Then I transferred it back into the leaf, unfortunately, it kept on moving around, and also give me two photos that worth sharing.
