I was busy making my daughter's flight attendant costume, for their Career Day today.
The Buwan ng Wika event in school.
I am really in a tight budget now. So what I did is, I just used the old clothes. That red skirt she used from that photo above, I just cut and sew it. Also, I borrowed the blouse of my sister's old school uniform and put a few red lines on her sleeves for added design. Then for her hat, I watched a video in Youtube to get some ideas on how to make it. My mom offered to just buy a scarf for my daughter. I just bought her shoes in 'ukay-ukay' for a hundred pesos.
The event was successful but my daughter got sad because she did not receive a Best in Costume' award. I told her not to, because she did her best. She was able to wear the costume with confidence. She's still a winner for me and her siblings.
To ease her sadness, my mom took her to her cousins' house to play with them. She's now happy!
