Talking of how school would look if phones never existed, I'm not sure what it would look like, but what I know for sure is that it would be very different from what we have today. I guess students will have to do more of asking questions, going to the library, having face-to-face conversations, and doing a lot of things together, while also depending on one another for those things we now do with our phones.

Back then when I was in school, there was a time my phone became faulty, not in a manageable way, nope, in a way that I can't use it for anything at all. It was completely useless; I can't call, chat, browse the internet, or do anything with it; it was just there like a decoration. And you can tell how frustrating that will be as a student in a higher institution and not having a phone, something you're already used to. Coupled with the fact that I stay alone and have no other companion.

Each time I wanted to call, I would borrow from a neighbor or a friend; I would walk to my friend's place to ask if there's any message being passed across on the class group chat. It sounds small, but then, it wasn't an easy period for me. I would lay on the bed in my room, just staring at the ceiling, as sleep refused to come. Not until a Junior friend of mine noticed I haven't been online for a while and asked me whatsup, I told her, and she offered to give me her second phone then; that was my first time using an iPhone. Though I refused the offer first, she said she has no use for it anymore since she's gotten another one.

That particular experience made me realize how much we so depend on this little tool/gadget called a phone. We won't think much about it now, but let something happen to it for just a day or two, and you will feel like a part of you is gone.

But as the topic implies, if phones never existed... Then I feel students would definitely find some other means to communicate, be closer to another, have conversations, make use of the library more, visit each other often, pay rapt attention in class, attend class regularly, and all of that, and there would even be less distractions too. Thinking about it now, what if they can make use of a laptop? Well, just saying. But let's just say none of it existed; then they would definitely find a way to cope, since it never even existed.

Also, about if school would be better without phones, for me, I would say no. Yeah. In this age that we're in, it won't be easy at all. Except if it never existed in the first place.
