Hello Holozing friends, I love the dynamism and positive movement of this community!
As I had already told you in the previous post about my daughter's interest in 3d modeling Holozing creatures, this time she brings you her interpretation of Water Whale.

I told you that in each modeling she deepens in the software she works with and perfects her technique, and so it has been now. She learns more and more every day in her free time since school also leaves her little time, but she loves modeling and she does it with love. Well, I bring you here her proposal and the steps she followed in her own words:

  • I started by making the base body from a cube which I subdivided several times until I achieved an elliptical shape. I did the modeling with a simple mesh, first the upper part and then the lower part, separately.

  • Once the base body was finished I modeled the tail and the three fins, the one on the head and the lateral ones.

  • Then I added the ehhhh.... propellers? and it started to look like an airplane whale heehee, which I think it looks like that from the illustration I'm going by.

  • Here to each part I applied its materials... because for that the shapes must be all independent, as far as I know 馃. And I created the eyes (according to my mom, it looked like a frog from that angle hahaha). I modeled them from two spheres and flattened them.

  • At this point I was done, although a few small details remained to be fixed. So I made a cavity for the eyes, which caused me a bit of work since I needed to modify the mesh slightly and then join it once again with the belly part.

  • And once it looked more like a marine animal I was satisfied.

  • Here I rigged the tail, with contractions for some bones... This kind of skeleton is made to be able to move the figure, make other poses and animations.

  • And finally a pose of Water Whale swimming in the seabed, enjoying his ecosystem, I hope you liked my Fanart!

Well until another time, see you!

! [Spanish]隆Hola amigos Holozianos! 隆
隆Espero les haya gustado mi Fanart!
