At one point in life we have sacrificed something to be who we are or come this far to the point we are. My mum would often say she sacrificed her education so that her children will have the quality of education she didn't have. She had to bend low , hustle hard , refuse herself luxuries because she wanted her children to have a good education. It was a cross she bore for us all and these sacrifices had become common among humans. To be who we want to be, or reach the point we want to be, there's always a price and a cross to bear.
I was diagnosed with a disease at a very young age. One condition that was given to me is to stay off hard work, anything that stresses me, stop eating sugar and pepper. It feels like a joke but I often face the consequences each time I break any of these rules, especially the one attached to working hard. It feels like a luxury to avoid stress , but what happens in a condition where the family depends on one at one point?.
Life has not been a bed of roses and I knew I had no choice than to break the rules and work as hard as I can, not just for myself but to support those around me. I remember how my health changed drastically the first time I went out to do a hard job. I had to treat myself with the money I made from the job and even more, but that didn't hinder me from working again. I wasn't born with a silver spoon, so I knew the implication of not working and at this moment, there are people who depend on me. I had to sacrifice my health to see that everyone and myself is comfortable. This is the cross to bear in order to survive, and what I do is ensure I have moments where I treat myself nicely and this has made me cope healthwise.
