Hey Actifiters!
Today was a beautiful warm day in the Rogue Valley! It was pretty hot, but not quite as hot as the past few days.
By the grace of God I was able to get up early enough to go for a run. I'm a bit behind my target - I'm supposed to be on day one of week 6 so honestly, I'm not sure if that means I'm over a week behind or only a day behind. Regardless, the past several weeks have been really good since I started running. I can tell my overall endurance has improved which is great. I'd still like to lose some weight and in finding that harder than I thought it would be. After adding some more regular exercise. I guess I am starting to see that my weight is more closely linked to my diet then I had previously thought. Maybe some of that is related to me being in my '40s now so with a slower metabolism. So, I know diet has been something I've talked about before and something that I'm seeing still needs more attention
My run this morning was good though, I tried to get a photo with a little bit of the sunrise in the background. It wasn't working out quite like I wanted it to so this'll have to do.
I also saw a interesting thing on my run. I almost missed it, but there was a tiny fawn right next to the road in a little section of undeveloped land. The sweet cute baby seemed all alone, so my intention is to check on it on my way home from work today. I really hope it's Mama was nearby. Because this little guy certainly is tiny and precious
I don't normally walk on days that I run, but work this week has had some added stress and I thought taking a short break from my desk and getting up to get some steps in would be helpful. Helpful. So having worked through my lunch again today, I took a little break and took a couple laps around the duck ponds.
I did ride over with my kids to the field where I saw the deer this morning and thankfully it wasn't there so hopefully it got with it's Mama again.
