Hello hivers
Here's my entry to the freewrite organized by mariannewest@mariannewest, details here and also day 3 of my writing challenge. Prompts are in bold italics.

The cold gentle breeze seeped through the curtains, the murmuring of the rain against the window sounded like the buzzing of angry bees. Alex rolled over inside his blankets without waking up. One hand on his chest, the other dangled from the bed next to the remnants of yesterday's dinner. Aunt Walsh famous Oat meal pizza crust. The room was in a royal mess, there was a coffee☕ mug on the floor, it's contents spilled all over the study desk, books and clothes scattered around. The clock struck 7:00 and Alex was fast asleep.

Just then, the door flung open and there was aunt may standing by the door way. Alex!!! She yelled in her high pitched voice. Alex woke up startled, he looked around the room frantically and realising it was just old Aunt may heaved a sigh of relief and sank back onto the bed. "He sighed again, buried his face in his palm and muttered, 'why do I always get my privacy violated, I thought we talked about this May' he seemed to be more awake. "Ohh! , about that" may replied smirking a little as her eyes kept darting around the messy room. "Well, your room's a mess, treat it with a little more respect first" she smiled and proceeded back downstairs. "You'd better get prepared for school, I can't drive you all the way today" she called out. "Ohh school, I still go there" he stared at the ceiling for a while before proceeding to compete with his usual dysany.

Breakfast was pancakes, normally this would have gotten Alex all ecstatic but the "boy" Alex was gone. Aunt may had that worried look all over her face as she stared the young lad standing at the window side with the usual gloomy look on his face. The past months had been nothing but pain for him, What more does the boy have to go through, May thought aloud. Ever since his dad suddenly disappeared nine months ago, Imelda his mum, her sister fell sick two months after. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and has recently been transferred to ICU. Tears began to trickle down May's face, she had never seen her sister so helpless. She had been staring at Alex all these while but the boy didn't seem to notice as he kept staring out the window.

"Be strong May" - a voice echoed in her head. She quickly wipes the tears off her face before Alex could notice. "Do you want to eat? If you do I'd advise you do so quick if you want to make it before the morning bell". May said. Finally he glanced up and met her gaze "Ohh, i don't have to go anyway" Alex replied, walking slowly towards the kitchen. Why not ? She snapped back. He grabbed some pancakes, poured some sauce over it and without looking up muttered "it's bring your parents to school day" and stuffed his mouth full with pancakes to avoid answering anymore questions.
