Hello All, and welcome to my first post on Hive.
Above is my beloved apartment gym, set up in the spare bedroom.
After about a year of accumulation, here we are!
Now you may have noticed that the title reads "The Psychological Motivator"; however, you may not yet know what I mean.
Although the home gym may not compare to an actual gym, it is indeed at home and is available a few steps away from the living room couch.
The reason I call it a Psychological Motivator is due to personal experience.
The below two pointers may convince you to view things the way I see them.
Gives no room for excuses - It's a lot harder to state that there is no time to exercise when the gym is literally in the next room of your apartment.
Second Chance to Train - When I miss/skip a workout, the guilt follows me all the way home. It doesn't matter whether I'm tired or unmotivated, the feeling in my gut tells me that I broke the routine by skipping out. Having a home gym changes everything, and gives me that second chance to go after it.
When maintaining a workout routine, the Psychological effect of a home gym changes everything. Having weights nearby is a big deal as there is no hassle and no excuse.
If you can start accumulating equipment at home, I would highly recommend you do so.
Regardless of the outcome, when there's no pain, there's no gain!
Thank you for checking this post out.
I welcome you to follow me and my story further.
Kind Regards,
