Hi there.

I had a previous post that covered the initial revealed cards for the Dual Fusion Pokemon TCG Pocket set. All 217 cards are revealed with the set release on Oct 29, 2026.

Since there are so many cards, I show some of them. This is a long post with a lot of card pictures.

Venusaur Line

This evolution line does not seem great for attacker. Too much work to get Venusaur into play just for healing 30 damage from the Active Pokemon.

Exeggcute + Alolan Exeggutor ex

Alolan Exeggutor ex does have an expensive attack. Dealing 100 damage to the Active and 50 damage to a random opponent's Benched Pokemon is kind of powerful.

Cutiefly + Ribombee

Both Cutiefly and Rimbombee have okay attacks from one Grass Energy.

The Ribombee ability is kind of interesting. Once during your turn, put a Sweet Honey rental card into your hand. It does not say if the Sweet Honey card is from deck. It says rental card. I don't know how this ability will actually work.

Charizard Line

This evolution line is not the greatest for attacking.

Charizard does deal 30 damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon when you attach 1 Fire Energy from your Energy Zone. This is from its Flame Aura ability. In theory, you can get multiple knockouts in one turn with this Charizard.

Blastoise Line

This evolution line seems usable. I mentioned this in a previous post. Blastoise's Aqua Charge can be used once during your turn. You may take a Water Energy from your Energy Zone and attach it to this Blastoise. Surf for 3 Water does 100 damage.

Mega Greninja ex Line

This evolution line looks good overall especially the Frogadier and the dual typed Mega Greninja ex.

The Frogadier has the Sudden Duplication ability that activates from evolving one of your Pokemon from your hand. You put a random Frogadier from your deck onto your Bench. I think this new Frogadier cannot evolve on the same turn.

Mega Greninja ex is a Water type and a Dark type. It does take 2 Water Energy for its Splash of Darkness attack. This attack deals 100 damage and the defending Pokemon cannot retreat.

Zeraora

This Zeraora is an okay attack. Two Lightning Energy to deal 90 damage. You do discard all Energy after the attack.

Mega Mewtwo ex

Mega Mewtwo ex is the other dual type attacker in this set.

This one is mainyl a beatstick. For 2 Psychic Energy and 1 Colourless Energy, you deal 100 base damage. If there is a Stadium in play, this attack does 40 more damage.

Rockruff + Lycanroc ex

Rockruff as an attacker is not great but it is needed for Lycanroc or Lycanroc ex.

The Lycanroc ex is mainly a beatstick attacker. The Slashing Claw attack is okay. The Reflexive Retaliation ability only works if this Lycanroc ex is in the Active Spot and is damaged by an attack by the opponent's Pokemon. You deal 30 damage to the Attacking Pokemon.

Larvitar, Pupitar & Mega Tyranitar ex

Larvitar and Pupitar are needed for Tyranitar or Mega Tyranitar ex. The Pupitar attack is helpful with the Energy Acceleration. This is provided that it is not Knocked Out before you get Tyranitar.

Mega Tyranitar ex is a bulky beatstick attacker. For 2 Dark and 2 Colourless Energy, the Crushing Rampage attack deals 180 damage. The drawback is that you discard the top 2 cards from your deck.

Gengar Line

This evolution line is okay. The Gengar attack deals 50 damage plus it makes the opponent's Active Pokemon Poisoned and Asleep. All from 1 Dark Energy.

Note that this Gengar art is the same art from the Lost Origin Gengar card. Few of the Pocket cards reuse arts from the regular Pokemon TCG.

Umbreon + Zoroark Line

Umbreon as an attacker is good against Basic Pokemon. One Dark energy for 30 base damage plus 50 if the target is an opponetn's Basic Pokemon.

Zoroark is interesting. Foul Play can use any two energy for its attack. You copy 1 of the opponent's Active Pokemon's attacks and use it as this Foul Play attack. It is possible to copy an opponent's strong Mega Pokemon ex attack. Would this be in a lot of decks? Maybe. It is a tech option to combat Mega Pokemon ex or Pokemon ex.

Mega Dragonite ex Line + Giratina ex

Giratina ex is a bulky Basic Pokemon ex. The attacks are expensive in terms of Energy.

Mega Dragonite ex was covered before. The attack is too expensive and hits a random target. 250 damage is pretty much a hit one hit kill.

Pidgeot Evolution Line

It does take time to get Pidgeot into play. The Clean Hit attack for 1 Energy deals 40 base damage plus 80 more damage if the target is an Evolution Pokemon.

Sweet Honey, Super Potion, Max Repel

Sweet Honey can provide good healing if you get lucky on the coin flips.

Super Potion has decent healing but you discard a random Energy from that healed Pokemon.

Max Repel switches out the opponent's Active Stage 2 Pokemon to the Bench. The use case is too niche. There are better cards than this I am sure.

Full Heal, Eviolite, Light Ball

Full Heal is like the one from the video game. Your Active Pokemon recovers from all Special Conditions (Sleep, Paralysis, Poison, Confusion). I can see a few decks try one copy of this.

Eviolite is a good defensive Tool card for decks that are heavy on Basic Pokemon attackers. The Basic Pokemon this card is attached to takes 20 less damage from the opponent's Pokemon.

Light Ball is a Tool card specific for Pikachu ex. Pikachu ex with a Light Ball attached does 30 more damage to the opponent's Active Pokemon. There are at least 3 Pikachu ex cards in the Pocket game I think. You may get a few players try a Pikachu ex + Light Ball theme deck.

Lorelei, Blue's Provocation

Lorelei provides damage boosting for your Dewgong, Cloyster or Lapras.

Blu's Provocation has a strong effect. This is conditional on if you have Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise or Pidgeot in play. Switch in 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon to the Active Spot. This effect is like the powerful Boss's Orders card in the regular TCG.

Serena's Choice, Rika, Poke Mart Guy

Serena's Choice does not seem very good. You see the top 3 cards of the deck and get 1.

Rika provides Fighting Energy acceleration for your Whiscash or Paldean Clodsire.

Poke Mart Guy lets you fetch 2 random cards from Super Potion, Max Repel and Full Heal from deck into your hand.

Rising Star, Abandoned Station

Rising Star is a switch card if you have 3 or more different Pokemon types in play.

Abandoned Station is a Stadium card that both players have access to. Once during each player's turn, that player may use this effect. Flip a coin. If Heads, draw 1 card. If you get lucky then this card is good.

Some Art Cards

Every main set has new artwork and some colourful cards. Here are some.

Special Illustration Rares

Some Shiny Cards

Shiny cards are typically from older sets. Here are some of them.

Gold Cards: Fuecoco ex, Pawmot, Giratina ex

Closing Thoughts

This new Pocket set is pretty big. A lot of new cards into the card pool. Choosing a 20 card deck seems much tougher now.

One comment on Pokebeach mentioned that there are only two dual type attackers in this set. For a set called Dual Fusion, there should be more dual type attackers. It is kind of disappointing when you think about it.

As usual, the art cards are nice overall.

Thank you for reading.
