3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp instant yeast
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp oil or melted butter
1 egg
2 cups cooked shredded chicken
1 cup mozzarella cheese
½ cup cheddar cheese
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp black pepper
Salt to taste
Mix dough ingredients and knead for 8–10 minutes until soft.
Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until double in size.
Mix all filling ingredients together.
Roll dough into a large rectangle.
Remeber to Place the filling down the center
Cut diagonal strips on both sides of the dough of around 1 inch each.
Fold the strips alternately over one another filling to create a braid design
Brush with beatan egg yolk and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. Make sure the oven is preheated for 0 mins.
Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing.
This is often served with tea or fresh juice.
