Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. I’m delighted to show you this new process for a long dress. Once I’d finalised the design for the wrap dress, I used a white fabric to give it a new colour that complements the dress whilst also adding more depth and variety to the colour scheme. I hope you like it!
The dress was designed to create a triangular shape at the bottom of the skirt by crossing the layers.
In this area, where a triangular opening is left, a white piece of micro-peach fabric needs to be cut out. The shape of the fabric should be triangular, and the lower part should be circular.
This is how it would look once the opening at the crossover point is covered by the blue fabric from the dress design.
Then, at the bottom of the dress, I’ve added a semi-circular hem so that it creates pleats at the bottom of the dress! I hope you like it.
