How are you, friends? I hope you’re all doing great. I’m happy to be back in this lovely creative space that always has a place for me. I’ve made some oven mitts so I can handle hot pots! I reused some fabric and ended up with a really pretty result—and, above all, something very useful in the kitchen.
1
I used the paper pattern to create the shape of our glove. Using this template, I cut out the pair needed to make the gloves—
2
For a pair of gloves, we need two outer pieces and two inner pieces for the lining.
3
Next, we need to use the batting or filling to create a protective layer that will help reduce or insulate against heat. After placing the filling on top of the striped fabric, I added the lining. Then, using pins, I was able to adjust the piece.
4
Then I made some marks on the glove to form the diagonal lines; those same lines I marked with chalk serve as a guide for sewing the shape later. Next, we need to make another identical piece so we can sew them together.
5
Next, we need to sew on a ribbon so we can attach it to the glove and use it to hold or hang the glove.
Here’s the finished product—our cute glove! I hope you like it! Thank you all so much for your support! Best wishes, and have a blessed day.
