Friends and fellow Hive members, it is a real pleasure to share my new drawing for today with you. I hope you are enjoying a good cup of coffee as you start your day and take a look at this piece—it’s the best way to kick things off! This drawing is inspired by an "Epic" card from the game: the E91 Retro Violin. As you can see, it’s a classic orange violin—an acoustic model, which you can tell by the openings on its sides. Inside, there is a sound box (resonance chamber); this is the main difference compared to electric violins, which don’t need one since they connect to an amplifier. Now, let me show you how I created this drawing—the process is always fun to watch! To begin, I drew the frame for the card.
After finishing the inner frame, I drew the neck of the violin, followed by its body—which, as always, features that classic, signature S-curve shape.
To complete the sketch, I added the pegbox at the top of the neck, along with its tuning pegs. There are four pegs in total, each corresponding to one of the strings.
Next, it was time to add color. As you can see in the photos, I started by painting the card’s background orange and the frame a light green. For the inner background, I used various shades of blue, while the violin itself is rendered in shades of orange and brown. You can follow the entire process here.
And finally, here is the finished drawing! Thank you so much for taking a look. See you in the next post—blessings to you all!
