Hello, friends especially foodies!

On Friday i craved for pork dishes like satay and the rib soup, so after had gotten off from work, my husband and i went to a small restaurant which was luckily located not far from our house. And we had been there several times because they had tasty pork satays and rib soup.

When we arrived there, it was around 8 pm.

The name of the restaurant was Sate Babi Ny. Swan (Mrs. Swan’s Pork Satay). Because located in a store complex, it had enough parking lots around. At front you could see they had some tables and chairs too.

When entering the outdoor area you could see their menu but without any price.

Well, still outdoor, you could see where they grilled their satays.

Inside, the dining area was air conditionered and not large, it only had around 7 tables. 3 on one row and 4 on another row. You could also see the cashier table. Some customers were there at the time we arrived and they seemed enjoying their dinner.

After we took our seats, a waitress came and brought the menu for us. Here they were

Not many dishes they offered. For pork satay, they only sold sweet satay, original satay, intestine satay, liver satay, skin satay, and samcan (pork’s belly satay). They also had sour veggie pork rib soup, only sour veggie soup, soy sauce pork’s leg steamed, and sour veggie minced pork steam. They sold pork skin chip too. For the drink, they had tea, mineral water, liang tea, sonkit orange iced, sarsparilla badak, passion fruit iced, and ambarella juice.

The soup came first then not a long time, the satay also arrived at our table. We of course also ordered white rice and hot tea to complete our dinner. Here was our table that evening

Now let me talk to you about their taste and flavor.
First, from the soup. It is what we called SOUR VEGGIE PORK RIB SOUP.

Containing pork ribs and also sour veggie, it had tasty savory, sour and a bit sweet flavor. It served hot and you could feel the pork broth in its’ soup, the texture of the soup is clear and not thick. The ribs' meat were soft and well cooked. The taste of this soup was so perfect, especially if you had it with pork satays and warm rice like we did.

Next, of course we ordered their famous PORK SATAYS.

We ordered our favorite sweet satays and tried their pork’s belly satay.
Their satay accompanied with sweet soy sauce, lime, peanut sauce, and fried galangal-spiced grated coconut. The difference between the sweet satay and pork belly satay would be the meat where they made of, while the sweet satay made of pork’s body meat, the pork belly made of the pork’s belly which made it had those 3 skin’s layers which also contained the fat. The taste of the sweet satays were sweeter than the pork’s belly satays ones. The taste of sweet satays were dominantly sweet with a bit savory flavor. While the pork belly ones, it had sweet savory balanced flavor.

This was me when i had my belly satay.

Both were great, and we loved how their tasted. The only thing we regretted was only the size, it would be lot better if they made larger, right?

For all we had for the dinner we paid 171K IDR or around 9.6 USD, a fair price for tasty pork dishes.
