Hello, friends especially foodies!

Last Sunday we had an opportunity to visit one of the newest Japanese Deli stall which was located in Food Print, a food court in West Mall at Grand Indonesia Shopping Center. We could know it from the mall’s official instagram account, so we were so curious to try to go there. And there we also had great tea too (ho ho ho, would like to know about it, continue reading please)..

The Food Court

Here how the entry gate of the food court looked

The food court was bright and also seemed welcome.

The Dining Area

Like you could see, this food court had a large, clean and neat dining area, like usually. Lucky for us it was not even 12 so not too many customers were there.

But actually behind the food stall, some customers were there!

Seems like this new food stall was popular.

The Food Stall

And we were so lucky that the food stall was located not far from the entry gate.

The Menu

They showed all the menus they had and you could just pick what you like on the tray. Like you could see they had

Lots of sushi and sashimi, sushi rolls. They had California sets, salmon tamago ubayaki set, and others. This time I skipped the sushi rolls.. Next time I think I would try some :9.

Some kind of bento and also rice bowls. They offered the main dish like teriyaki chicken or fried dori or chicken katsu there. We picked what we wanted.

20220325_075358.jpg

They also had surimi (fried sticks). They had some balls on sticks, like spicy fish balls, sweet fish balls, savory fish balls, fish cake stick, salmon balls, seafood tofu, shrimp bomb (unique), seaweed or other veggies too. Many kind of sticks there.

20220325_075431.jpg

They also had takoyaki, some soup balls, fried tempura, or karaage, squid furai and many many dishes were there too. And they also had robatayaki (Japanese satay)… Many kind of it.

20220325_075452.jpg

We even too confused to pick them all so we skipped some kind of dishes.

Before the cashier table, they had a large fridge where they put many beverages they sold like mango lemon tea, lychee berry tea, jelly lychee tea, boba lemon tea, lemongrass tea, and green tea (ocha). They also had mineral water and also pudding.

You could see that they sold many kind of teas there, unpredictable experience for me. And with so many food they offered, we were so amazed, I never found any food stall like this before. The food there were actually fresh made but then put on sterile single used boxes so anyone could have it or even take it away quickly. Nice!

The Food & The Look

Here how our lunch looked

20220325_075610.jpg

Mom ordered Bento Chicken Teriyaki while Mom was Donburi Chicken Teriyaki. We also ordered side dishes like salty fish balls surimi and ebi tempura. For the drink bought lychee jelly tea and also green tea. The beverages were served chilled.

Aren’t they look yummy?

The Taste & The Flavour

By the way now I would like to tell you about the taste and flavour of our food. Unfortunately no different of dishes we had that different so mom and I actually had the same menus but on different packaging, donburi packed in a bowl, while bento, put in bento plate.. Both of us couldn’t try each other cause we had exact the same dishes on our package, except the mayonnaise they put on mom’s top left bento plate (but she didn’t even taste it at all). So here I tried to explain the taste

Mom's

Mine

What we both got in our package were

Chicken teriyaki – they grilled it and it tasted so good with sweet savory teriyaki sauce flavour. The chicken fillets were soft and well marinated. So it was more than we had expected. Oishii!

Next both of us also got the fish ball in our package, it had savory sweet flavour. Crunch but soft, tasty too!

The last dish we also got was the squid furai.. it had crispy skin, I thought it was onion from the look at first… but the squid was tasty in savory plus although chewy it was soft to bite… Bingo, they made these packages perfect! Plus they still served it fresh and warm (But remember that the portions might be too small for boys).

We also still had their tempura and fish ball surimi..

The tempura was just so so, the skin was to thick. It was a bit hard, and the shrimp they used was not big. So I won’t recommend this menu for you all.

And how about their surimi

It was tasty in crunch but sweet chewy texture. It had savory flavour with natural sweet fish flavour too. So tasty!

The TEAS, Look and Taste!

Last but not least let me tell you about their teas

20220325_075805.jpg

The teas were also served in single used sterile plastic bottles. On the top was their jelly lychee tea (something we never tried before) and also ocha (Japanese green tea).

Lychee tea had tasty lychee sweet flavour with the jelly which had soft but crunch like nata de coco flavour and texture. The tea they served was perfect, smelled and tasted so good.

Now how about their ocha,

Their ocha was also authentic, it was pure from green tea, thick and pure plus unsweetened.

Both of the teas we had there were so tasty and different from others we usually have.. Great!

The Price

The price of the food and drink there was in the middle, average price, for all the food and beverages we paid was 129,800 IDR or around 9.05 USD.

So my conclusion was oh great that the Japanese deli also had great teas too beside tasty oishii Japanese food of course.. so I recommend this place where you could have Japanese dishes on the go with tasty flavour!

Wanna come to try eating at this place too?

Thanks for reading my article, hope you enjoy it and stay tune for more CRAFT things from me!
