Hello, friends especially foodies!
Sometimes on Friday I go out with co-worker to do chit chat and have a bit fun outside, this was what we did last Friday. Although it was a quite hot sunny day with some breeze, we went outside that day, I went out with my best friend, always fun to be together.
TIKALA BISTRO
Located on Suryopranoto street (not far from my office), TIKALA BISTRO seemed to be as same as the buildings around it.
THE DINING AREA
But unique thing was outdoor they had artificial grass for their dining area, but wow I love how their interior looked inside, with dominant white color, it was so classic and classy. I love the surrounding inside, with those lamp balls hung on its high ceiling. It was one of the best place I had for lunch near office so far. They also played instrumental songs which brought relax feeling of those who entered. Luckily we came before any customers so we could enjoyed the peace there. One conclusion, I love their indoor dining area! Anyway they also had the singing area too, live music on weekend evening, great place, huh?
THE MENU
For the menu they had was quite vary cause they had western until asian menus. I love that they had them at the same place, I mean not In every place you could enjoy pasta and rawon, right?
There they had appetizer and salad, burger even tortilla, but that day both of us would like to have some Indonesian…… and the menu won’t make you broke.
THE FOOD
So what we ordered that day were Cakalang Fried Rice and also Rawon rice. My friend Cakalang Fried Rice tasted so good with cakalang fish topping on it, sunny side up egg and also fried chips. It had savory and spicy flavour. While mine, Rawon rice, had tasty savory flavour. The beef cubes were quite enough for one person and also they served it with chilli paste I loved (it was not too spicy, with sweet savory flavour). This black beef soup was tasty. But I still miss how they cooked it in Surabaya, where this dish came from (luckily I will go to Surabaya at the end of this year). The most important thing that they served it healthy (low GI), clean and also tasty of course
After eating we also had some chit chat there, unfortunately some customers came that brought loud voice so we then decided to leave..
Of course I would like come again to try their Western Menus, so stay tuned!
