Hello, friends especially needleworkers 
Today i would like to share what i've done last weekend. I was doing two of my favorite things together, cross stitching and handsewing while i'm listening to my favorite music. It was kinda imboost to my mood and my feeling is all well even until today :) and i know it would last in a week until i meet my needle again :). What i made last weekend was this cute koala fabric multipurpose box, it was cute and simple plus easy to make. To make this you would need to crossstiching in FIRST part then continue with the handsewing part on the SECOND part.
This project was really represented myself, i really love to make any useful needlework things and i love to organize, in fact this koala fabric box could be used to organize anything on my table or even some things i would need in order to make my stitching or crafting project. So i won't lose them (i always forget where i put my own things, haha). Make everything nice, cute and tidier is always what i want to do, and i also love to do both cross stitching and hand sewing so this project really speaks my character.
Now, let me share how i made this needlework project with all of you.
Hint: cross stitch with two strains of floss, backstitch with one strain for the border line and use a strain too for the french knots.
First, cross stitch the branch of tree with brown colour, bottom part.Then use grey floss to cross stitch the koala, started from the side.
Continue until the koala side part finish (outer to inner). Then cross stitch nose and inside ears with light grey.
Then finish fullfilling the koala with dark grey cross stitch. After the koala finished, continue cross stitching the branch and last the leaves with green.
Finished the leaves then french knot the eyes with black.
And last, bold the outer line with the black back stitch. Voila, the koalas on tree branch were finished.
Used ruler and draw 1 piece of 8x8 cm and 4 of 10cmx8cm unused paper and also a drawing paper. Then cut the natural colour fabric with a bigger size 2 of 12x12 cm and then 7 of 14x12 cm. Cut all off. Join the bottom parts, but put the papers inside. I hand sew it with the red thread, it was only helper so made the big of sewn for this part.
Join 1 of 14x12 cm fabric with the cross stitch (of course cut off the cross stitch at the same size). Used pins and for the top part, fold a bit of each fabric inside and then sew with red as helper. Do the same for other sides. Last thing after it before joining them was hand sew each top part with white thread.
Then what we need to do is joining altogether. I started with a side with the koala side. The join the koala with the bottom. To join, used pins as helper then hand sew with white thread.
Next, join the koala part to the other side. Last join the back side with the bottom and other two sides. Last, release the red sewn helper and also turn the fabric box up. Now it's ready to use.
I used it to put stationeries and some stitching stuffs so i won't lost them again when i do my next needlework project. Happy needleworking!
